Perhentian Islands- my absolute dream destination (and I am normally not a beach person) - I went there last year and had the islands almost to myself, great snorkelling options. Better do not go there if you get sick on a boat easily, that was the roughest and scariest boat trip I have ever had, but totally worth it:-)
Aha, and make sure you put a big plastiv bag around your backpack, mine was soaked and it took 2 weeks to get my stuff try again.....but still one of the best memories from my trip through South East Asia....

I've heard great things about Cartegena, but never anything specific about their food. I'm glad that you found some good eats, I have a friend that wants to visit Colombia soon and I'll be sure to mention Cartegena.
